We can accommodate any bedding angle for a finished dai or a finished and ready to use dai. If it's steeper than 42 degrees, an additional fee, starting at $15.00 and up, will be charged.
If you would like to have your new or old blade assembled with a dai by Inomoto, the dai maker, the blade must be sent to his shop (we will provide you his address). The customer is responsible for all shipping costs. The price for assembling for a new blade with a dai starts at $105.00 and an old blade with a dai starts at $112.00. Ask for details.

July 17, 2015 by Chris VandiverI ordered some Inomoto kanna dai for hira-ganna from Suzuki-ya. The Japanese white oak from Inomoto was flawless. Very tight,dense and straight grained, it was very precisely milled and as dry as can be. Incredibly stable material. I can't imagine finding better kanna dai material anywhere. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to make their own kanna.
